Carly brings her compassionate nature and diverse educational background to support clients on their journey toward mental wellness. With a Bachelor's degree from Elon University combining Psychology and Art and a Master's in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from NYU Steinhardt, Carly offers a unique blend of analytical and creative approaches to therapy.
Carly is particularly drawn to working with young adults, adults, couples, and individuals who are navigating life's complexities. She has a keen interest in exploring neurodivergence, untangling relationship dynamics, easing the stress of life transitions, and supporting those grappling with anxiety and depression. Carly is also passionate about guiding clients through identity exploration and fostering personal growth.
In her practice, Carly weaves together various therapeutic modalities with a foundation in DBT. She also incorporates elements of CBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing, tailoring her approach to each client's individual needs. Carly's style is further enriched by trauma-informed, mindfulness, relational, and client-centered perspectives.
Carly firmly believes that the only way out is through, and she creates a warm, supportive space where clients feel empowered to face their challenges head-on. She sees the inherent strength in each individual and works collaboratively with her clients to unlock their potential for meaningful change.
When she's not in the therapy room, Carly finds joy in reading, expressing herself through drawing, and cherishing moments with friends and family. These personal interests not only recharge her but also inform her holistic view of mental health and well-being.
