Daniel is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Psychotherapist in the state of New York. His work specializes in couples and men's mental and relational health including relationship challenges, addiction, out of control sexual behavior, anger management, depression, sexuality, and trauma recovery. Understanding the special needs of men in the modern world, he tailors his approach to therapy to address this under-served and overwhelmed population.
His work is integrative; meeting his clients as they are, he facilitates curiosity and accountability in accepting where they are and where they want to go.
He obtained his Master’s Degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University, specializing in Gestalt and Mindfulness based therapeutic approaches.
He has further trauma and attachment training from the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute, grounding his therapeutic approach in working with body based memories in resolving traumatic experiences as well as the neurological implications of attachment and stress.
Daniel is also a Certified Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapist through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. Daniel is excited to support the cutting edge of mental health treatment through his decades long research and work integrating trauma treatment with the transpersonal and contemplative realms of human experience. He trains and offers Preparation and Integration psychedelic services to those seeking alternative paths to their mental wellness.
He is an avid meditation practitioner and teacher and contributes his contemplative practice to his capacity as therapist.
