Mohammadee believes that we are complex beings that are constantly on a journey to return home to ourselves, and that return can look different for each part of us. In an ecosystem that has not been designed to support our safety, Mohammadee recognizes that we may experience a departure from the self and body during those moments of pain, and overwhelm. She believes that return to the self can be possible in a space that can explore how different aspects of ourselves communicate and in their attempt, protected us, generationally.
She specializes in working with Adult Survivors of childhood/generational trauma, sexual assault, and relational/attachment trauma. Mohammadee works toward applying a relational/trauma-informed approach. She grounds herself in integrating the mind and body, inviting clients to connect and lean into their felt experiences reflectively. She believes that by calling attention to one's sensations, emotions, thoughts and intuition—the wisdom we each have about our experiences, healing is possible.
Mohammadee has learned the value and power of being authentically present in a relationship—how healing is possible when space is collaboratively created to understand clients' internal worlds over time. She deeply values her relationships and is committed to her clients, she continues to study and grow as a clinician.
Mohammadee received her Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from CUNY Hunter College. She completed her post graduate training in Trauma Studies at The Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy. She is also trained in EMDR through the Institute of Creative Mindfulness.
