May 9-11, 2025
Nine Mountain Retreat Center, Plainfield MA

Do you rely on momentum to keep you going, with little time to reflect, stop, and reorient? Do you find yourself returning to familiar behaviors, addictions, relationship patterns, and emotional reactions that prevent you from truly feeling satisfied?

This Spring, we invite you to join us for a weekend of realignment and purpose. Give yourself some time to connect to your true intentions and to the unconscious blocks that may be keeping you stuck in patterns that don’t serve you.

We will bring together a diverse community of men to explore our individual values and goals, and to witness each other in taking real steps towards lasting change. Psychotherapist Daniel Cook and his team at Embodied Mind will lead you through a therapeutic journey to:

» Set Intentions and explore your individual values, identity, and goals

» Process in groups to identify relational behaviors that may be keeping you stuck

» Cultivate embodiment practices to guide us back into our fully inhabited selves

» Engage creatively in movement, writing, meditation, play, and group fires

» Immerse yourself in nature among Plainfield’s extensive network of hiking trails

» Integrate and plan for habit change and action

» Keep connection going in a post-retreat virtual space to support integration

Embodied Mind NYC invites you to join facilitators Daniel Cook (LMHC), Kobi Bordoley (MHC-LP), and Daniel Chen (MHC-LP), on a curated retreat to connect and build community with other men.

Retreat Hosts

DANIEL COOK has worked with men and their mental, relational, and spiritual health for the past two decades. Understanding the special needs of men in the modern world, Daniel has committed his life to supporting and challenging men to step more fully into their deepest capacity and intent. Through curiosity, acceptance, embodiment, accountability, and play, Daniel tailors his approach to supporting men in transforming their lives. Daniel Cook is the clinical director of Embodied Mind NYC.

KOBI BORDOLEY is interested in the narratives contemporary culture tells men, and the ways in which men both internalize and reject those messages. Through his work as a psychotherapist, he witnesses the novel ways in which men adapt (and often struggle) to live authentically, compassionately, and without shame. Kobi also runs multiple men’s groups, and is curious about how masculinity develops and emerges in group dynamics. Kobi is an associate psychotherapist at Embodied Mind NYC.

DANIEL Chen approaches men’s issues with curiosity and compassion. He has experience facilitating men’s groups and utilizes IFS, Gestalt, and Somatic Mindfulness techniques to help identify, understand, and approach men’s needs and intentions. With patience and commitment, Daniel aims to deliver an increased sense of belonging and significance, putting clients on a path towards self actualization. Learn more about Daniel’s work here.
